TERME DI PETRIOLO – LA VIA NATURALE DEL BENESSERE

 

Known since the time of the Romans, the Petriolo Baths have been visited through the centuries by many well-known personalities. The thermal waters are known to be empowered of various therapeutic characteristics, with have proved, since Romans made use of these hot springs, to cure diverse forms of chronic pathologies: osteoarticular illnesses, skin illnesses and problems of the breathing apparatus.

The water is rich of salts and gives off a strong sulphureous smell due to the notable presence of sulphide hydrogen.

The scenery consists of the surrounding hills and woods, which are exceptionally well conserved. It is situated in the natural reserve of the Basso Merse, where the peaceful silence makes time seem to come to a halt.

The thermal baths are fully functional and have been recently renovated. They are said to help relieve pains as also accumulated stress and anxiety, to return one to a psychophysical balance.

    where are the pictures from above? which spa are they making reference to? and where are these natural pools?

    • The “Terme di Petriolo” are very close to our resort and they do have natural pools down in the river stream. Petriolo is about 15 km from Montestigliano following the main road Siena – Grosseto. Direction Grosseto.
